Writing, geometries and material life in rural and railway Reggio.

A memory monograph dedicated to Bruno, a railway surveyor, farmer and vernacular author. The dossier collects and organizes texts, documents and written artifacts preserved within the home, relating technical work, land, writing and family life.

The research follows the Reggio vernacular and material culture without constructing a hagiography or transforming private experience into a general reconstruction of the city's history.

The monograph does not provide coordinates for visiting private places, routes or operational indications in the area. The contents and documentary limitations are described in the edition.

Archival note — Lanzhibal

The page bears the title “LANZHIBAL”, with the headings “FOLKLORE-REYYINO” and “SKRITTORI-REYYINI”. At the bottom appear the initials apparently “M.4K = 1620”, the disk “ZHIBAL”, the file “ZHIBAL03” and a stamp dated December 2, 1989.

The text outlines a criterion for allocating production costs among collaborators and indicates four items: 1,000 per page, one-off, for the amortization of composition and printing equipment; 4,000 per page, one-off, for the operator's work; 100 per page for photostatic reproduction; 500 per cover. The unit symbol next to the amounts has not been interpreted with certainty: the values are reported as historical data of the page, not as current prices or rates.

The colophon indicates composition with a Philips “NMS 9115” PC and a Mannesmann Tally “MT.B1” printer, photocopied reproduction and copies of the first edition in very limited numbers, distributed as a gift in compliance with legal formalities. Printing is attributed to Bruno Giordano. The address and telephone number present on the scan are omitted.
